Photographer's Note

During initial years of soviet regime the artists had freedom of creation but were obligated to fit under the rules of the government few years after revolution.
Most of them were obligated to produce a kind of propaganda of the government, telling "how marvelous was the life in Soviet Union".
Here we have a sample, this canvas is named "New Moscow" and was created in 1937 by Yury Pimenov.
The woman is driving a car in one of the largest avenues of Moscow, we can see "how rich and modern is this society". I guess I can recognize this place, it is in Tverskaya Avenue, near the City Hall, Kremlin is ahead those high buildings..
I read in some place in those years a people in that country would wait many years to buy a car, but when it was bought he-she had a kind of liberty of movement to travel around the country, maybe because only the elite was able to get it and, therefore, a trustworthy people.

Nos anos iniciais do regime sovitico os artistas tiveram certa liberdade de criao, mas em pouco tempo o governo passou a ditar regras severas, obrigando os artistas a fazer um tipo de propaganda do governo, mostrando "Como era maravilhosa a vida na Unio Sovitica".
Temos aqui uma amostra desse tipo de arte. uma tela chamada "Nova Moscou", datada de 1937, obra de Yury Pimenov.
Na tela uma loira est dirigindo um carro pelas largas avenidas de Moscou e a tela nos mostra "Como aquela sociedade moderna e rica". Acho que posso reconhecer esse local, era a Avenida Tverskaya, perto da Prefeitura, o Kremlin fica atrs daqueles prdios altos.
Lembro de ter lido em algum lugar que naquela poca, naquele pas, uma pessoa tinha que esperar muitos anos para conseguir comprar um carro, mas depois ela tinha relativa liberdade de movimento pelo pas, pois se tinha um carro era sinal de que era um confivel membro da elite do pas, j que s eles conseguiam essa proeza.
