Photographer's Note
This is Calayo Bay and beyond is Calayo Village, Province of Batangas, Philippines. It is nestled at the foot of surrounding hills. The only road to this place is undeveloped. We usually come here by boat, but we have to drive from Manila (2.5 hour ride) to a place called Punta Fuego. From Punta Fuego it is only a 25 minute boat ride to Calayo, or we take a big boat from Manila to Calayo. There are plenty of coconuts (you can see the trees in the picture) and fruits. The back of this village is farmland. The village is inhabited mostly by fisherman who brings fresh lobsters and fishes at a very inexpensive price. The air is cool and fresh, unlike the City of Manila. I am looking forward to going there again this December 2005 to January 2006.
