Strange enough but I am often amazed that people in far countries do the same things we do. I assume they should do the same things, but anyway seeing this is different, it gives me a sense that we are much more alike in basic things than we are used to think.
Technically speaking the psycholigical focus of the picture is on the needle - both models look at it, but real focus is on the old lady's face. I think it could look different if you focused your lens on the needle.

the compo is perfect. Good focus on the faces but i will choose a bigger DOF for focus on the hands.

Hi,
Nice sharp portrait. However for my tast to much contrast. I think it is not difficult to soften it a litle bit in the workshop (I don't possess one).
