Photographer's Note
Opposition party's activist holding a flag in one hand and from the other hand throwing teargas shell back towards Police in Islamabad "Protest against foreign policy"
To capture such kind of protest rallies through an eye of camera is quite tough job. As we have to keep an eye on both parties i.e activist and police and on either way we become the victims. Whereas police really enjoys to hit us and give excuse that their main target were activist. This photo is taken from the distance of 12 feet from the activist.

Great Job Sohail,
I completely agree with you that taking such pictures is a tough job and a photographer can easily get hurt. It's a pity you couldn't capture the man's face and his expression but your good informative note gives us enough detail to imagine the rest. I suppose you didn't have enough time to think about details as well.
Best regards!

Hello sohail
Even on the miniature, we could see it was a scene of protest. The face masked by the smoke increase the dramatism.
Congratulations for your courage.

You're a brave man for taking this shot, and I admire that very much.
Dramatic, desperate, powerful.
Very good work!

Hi Sohail,
Such documentary photography as this is indeed difficult and dangerous, but also highly important. I commend you for your job in catching this one. The timing is perfect, as you can see the man picking up the gas, and the expression on his face is clearly visible, and priceless - if a little painful.

A dangerous job indeed Sohail.....I have seen from recent pictures here how brave you photojournalists are in the context of the struggles on the streets....incredible moment - one of the most decisive of decisive moment images here on TE....technically I would do some work around the more intense burn of the whites to the left...I'm not sure if this is to do with any subsequent contrast work in Photoshop but I would want to either be more selective in that work or do something to soften the effect........but the really important thing is that you caught this remarkable image......
best wishes Kev
