you have composed this very well and managed the light conditions superbly to produce this very appealing image. the sky is stunning with the stars beginning to appear in the darkening sky. i love the positioning of the mountains in the frame. the detail and sharpness you have achieved are incredible.

I can see why you chose Lhotse to organize this shot around, Way- the light on it is just beautiful - soft, and producing some great shadows down the slope. The sky is beautiful as well, with a few stars visible above some great violet clouds. Beautifully composed and executed.

I really wish I was there. The place looks awesome and you are for sure the right one to share its beauty. There's something really special about the light and the textures of the snow. By looking at the picture you kind of get the feeling that it's a very lonely place, and the sky somehow looks like it does its best to contribute to that feeling. Thanks!

Hello Way,

The best thing I could say about this shot is it gives me the wish to plan a new trip in Nepal to do shots from Kala Patthar.
You really caught something in this landscape with a real rendering of mood through this so special and subtle lightning.
For the detail, on your note you wrote Everest is in the right. Is it not better the black Pyramid on the left?

breath taking view persented in a fantastic low light. The scarce light resulted a the very subtle color differences being nicely emphasized. Everything seems so well balanced here. You have captured it in the best possible moment, I bet a second later it was already too dark andsecond before it was too bright.
I like the smooth clouds above the sharp peaks.

very nice the snowy Kala Patthar ten min. after the sunset with the deep blue and purple colour tints to make the image unique.Even with the low lighting conditions,i like to see the details as the beauty of the place.Well done and captured.

The comments speak for themselves. The picture speaks loudly, with a beauty which is unspeakable. I guess when you see such a scene with your eyes, all the travails & hardships are forgotten. The sky is beautiful in shades of pink on the blue but the focal point has to be Lhotse! Amazing once again!!
