He is not a beggar: he is a sadu, although many sadus do beg also .The trident shows that he is a devotee of Krishna. It is a nice portrait with happy smile, smiling for a tip, no doubt. But the composition does not seem to have been thought out. The hands are a problem; the right hand is just in frame, but very awkwardly in and touching the edges of the frame in an awkward way . The trident is almost out of frame and the left hands is cut right out. You would have been better to go for the face alone and left the hands out, or better still, composed the picture with both hands and the trident, which is important, in. He is posing for you, so you could have moved or asked him to move.
