Now for the lower section of the temple's facade! Again, it faces to the northeast and reflecting its very beautiful design. Since the structure is so close to Old Bagan, it attracts many visitors. Moreover there are several souvenir market stalls along the stairway to the entrance. Straight away through the entrance sits a Buddha image ready to welcome penitents (and photographers).

Was this taken before or after the earthquake? Bagan is truly a magical locale and you've done a fine job of bringing out the sense of scale of the place . Well done. Cheers,
