Standing on the platform in the full-sun, waiting for the midday train can be hot work if you don't have a parasol with you as these young nuns.

Hello Elaine,
A nice glimpse of daily life and a rather typical one of Burma. The colours of the umbrellas, the nuns' clothes and their skin are matching perfectly.

Hello Elaine!
A very nice photo of this Buddhist nuns / Bhikkhunī.
I like her pose with the umbrella and her smile. But most of all I like the many different brown / orange tones and the pattern of the shadows on the umbrellas.
While many monks look very seriously, I saw many nuns laughing and having fun, not only the younger ones.

Hello Elaine,

From the thumbnail, your photograph was a mystery but what a pleasant surprise when opened full size!
The colour coordination is so sweet and I love the dappled shadows.
I can't help seeing the parasols as giant flowers!

Hello Elaine, the uniformity of the brown parasols and the brown tones of the clothes add up to make a lovely scene. The sunlight filtering through the trees is a lovely feature.

Vermits je mijn foto's in het Nederlands commentarieerde, zal ik voortaan ook in het NL naar jou schrijven.
Prachtige compositie met de verschillende zonneschermen boven de roze gewaden.
Gelukkig heft er ййn jonge non haar zonnescherm hoog genoeg op zodat we haar hoofd helemaal zien.
Van mijn Myanmar-reis bracht ik ййn ambachtelijke paraplu mee als souvenir en ik heb hem nog steeds.

Given the brown 'wings' assembly, my first taught was for those particular butterflies that find an hiding place in daytime and go to sleep!!
Magnificent gathering masterly captured for an artistic clair-obscur depiction!
