This night photo was taken near the Hovsgol Lake in northern Mongolia.
The moonlight was strong enough to see in the night.
I tried to place the big dipper so that it can be clearly seen between the trees.

A really amazing night scenery with the stars to seen so well on the sky.The existence of the yourte makes the scene even more effective

I am impressed by this beautiful capture of the Big Dipper. It stands out so clearly in the night sky. The yurt is also lovely, and so typical of Mongolia. Very nice! :-)

Salut Julien,
Étonnant comment la lumière de la lune seule a pu éclairer le sol, les arbres (un peu) et la yourte. Une image bien planifiée et fort réussie en tout cas. Tu ne mentionnes pas l'utilisation d'un trépied; peut-être as-tu utilisé une souche comme celles visibles sur la photo? J'imagine que tu as dormi dans cette yourte ou une voisine; ça a dû être un bon moment.

Mongolia meens endless steppes and yurts and horses, so this photo of yours breaks that prejusice of mine. Great lighting effect with 30 seconds exposure. I like a lot the atmosphere you created.
