The picture is the corridor outside the entrance of the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion.

The mansion was the family house of Cheong Fatt Tze, a prominent Chinese Settler in 19th century. Before it was restored, Cheong's heir rented it out to many households till late 1980s. Cheong specified in his will that this perperty can be sold only after his youngest son passing away. It was sold to an investment syndicate who later become this a private museum with hotel facilites.
