Photographer's Note

State Mosque Sultan Ahmad Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Asahan situated near Jalan Masjid in centre of Kuantan. Located near Wisma Sri Pahang building, it is the largest mosque in Pahang with 180 feet tall minarets.

Scanned from a picture which has lost a lot of colour.

Ein gescanntes Foto aus dem Jahr 2002!
Sicher hat an Farbe verloren,aber sieht immer noch super aus,
Der Standpunkt is sehr gut und die Architektur
interessant.

Hi Achim,
this is one of the places I'd like to visit in Malaysia.. I added a photoshop version in which right side of the picture is cropped to get rid of the bule building and the white car.. well done!

Hallo Achim. Wann immer mцglich, besuche ich im In- und Ausland Kirchen. Dementsprechend natьrlich auch Tempel, Pagoden, Moscheen usw. Zuletzt hatte ichdas Vergnьgen in Istanbul. Malaysia ist auch noch ein weiЯer Fleck auf meiner Landkarte. Die Moschee ist fast weiЯ, und im Ьbrigen mit Fliesenornamenten besetzt. Ein imposanter Anblick. Moscheen zu photographieren ist fast immer mit Schwierigkeiten verbunden, weil meist etwas den freien Blick behindert. In Deinem Photo sind es lediglich ein paar Bдume. Es ist ein vorbildliches und sehr anschauliches Photo geworden. Viele GrьЯe, Wolfgang.

Hello Achim,
Very nice, delicate picture with the splendid architecture. In spite of troubles with the colour, pretty well to yourself you advised with this problem. I scans both photographic copies as and negatives. I know what it marks means. Photo is very pleasant, pretty well coloured and very carefully performed.

Well presented mosque from a good POV. Correct sharpness and contrasts, the colors may have lost in the scan process, you may have saturated them a bit more to reflect the original better, but as i don't know how it looks, these soft tones are quite fine to me!
I may have cropped the building on the right side, to have a neater compo, but not really important!

I don't know but it reminds me small mosques from Abu Dhabi streets. I like the proportion and the beauty of the architecture but I'm little surprised you include the trees right in the middle of the compo, right in front of the mosque.

Achim, looking at the picture I never would have imagined that it was scanned. It looks perfect although I understand what you mean with the description that you lost a lot of color. The sky really would be much better with deep blue or some interesting clouds, otherwise very good shot!

The soft colors are nice, even though, you had lost a lot of it... The mosque seems to come out of a fairy tale with its domes and tall minarets.

Hello Achim,
it is the eyes and the creativity of the photopgrapher that make the shot wonderful and brilliant. In this case, Achim did that.
Im a Malaysian and never reach that place also. The photographic rendition is so excellent that what have been commneted is very true.
