Morten Village, Malacca River.

Do you see that at the right side in above photo, the resident install a pretty arch at the entrance which completed in a blue dome to welcome guest, the sentence on the arch "Selamat Datang" is mean "Welcome". Passing through the arch, there is a bench made by concrete, seem the residents here are really ready to welcoming guests.

the architecture of this traditional house is very interesting! And you have composed a wonderful impression of this inviting home in a nice light. I also love the characteristic flower pots (I have mentioned this before!). Excellent photo work!

Dear Ally
Again I have changed my latest photo of the rafting in the river. I thought to myself it was a little blanket and comparing in the original one a little darkened the difference was any better. Anyway only you crtised it despite the number the various unknown downloads. I have decide to go on in trekearth because the problem is another I will comment later. In this photo really the long concrete bank would fit to me. I ever like to stretch to relax. But I have no doubt I sleep at any place even when I am standing up I almost fall. Sometimes I am to exausted sleeping only a few hours. No wonder. The flowered vases strung out make a kind a barrier. Visiters surely may see it is not the right passage and must foillow the owner purpose passing under the arch. A hug Ally. Tomi

Congrats for posting this, Kampung Morten I remember vividly and I fact I have few relatives who live here. This is certainly excellent and really special picture for me as I have a link to this place. Despite its close proximity to town centre, the spirit of kampong is still very much alive here, with the recent refurbishment. this make this kampung even more livelier in tendem with redevoplement of Melaka town. Architecturally, this kampung just blends harmoniously with the surrounding. You have captured this timely, good that you include that pakcik and his natural appearence, bare body and kain pelikat! Thanks to your effort and good contribution to TE. My compliments

Charming house of traditional construction, I think the most beautiful way to "welcome" with the bow and then a bank to offer seat.
Beautiful all those plants that make the place much more ideal, a place that is quiet and cozy.

Nice view to this typical Malay house. I like the entrance gate with the invitation script (do they have "selamat jalan" on the reverse side?). You got it in very nice light and good clarity. Well done. Greetings Miro.
