Photographer's Note

There is a place in Kuala Lumpur City where the small lorry operators flock to each day and park their vehicles. While the drivers chat and talk, smoke and drink, they have a lookout who sat by the road side all day waiting and trying to get customers to rent these small lorries to carry whatever that is neeeded to be transported. To a bystander this man seems to be sitting there on a make shift bench doing nothing. In actual fact he is working. He earns a fee for whatever rental he secure for the lorries. He looks aggressive enough, looking impatient, multiple rings on his left fingers but those who frequent the place knows him and stopped to hire lorries. I was in a car park underneath a building and the black vertical lines are actually grills protecting the parked cars from being vandalised I guess.
