Photographer's Note

This photo was taken in Nara, small but very old city. Nara is located not so far from Kyoto and I had have one day trip to this beautiful city. In the end of that day I've got unforgettable photo session with these old temples.

Kōfuku-ji is a Buddhist temple that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, in the city of Nara, Japan. The temple is the national headquarters of the Hossō school and is one of the eight Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Yes, Nara is a must on a Japan journey.
I really liked my visit and also spent the night there.
This is a magnificent sunset picture showing the silhouette of the temple and also the one of the beautiful tree next to it.
A very nice range of colours in the sky, from orange on the horizon to blue on top.

love the varying degrees of color...not much color at the top, but lots and lots of color nearing the bottom.

Lovely sunset hot with clear silhouettes...I missed out Nara during my 2 trips to Osaka due to lack of time....maybe I should make another trip for all those places I missed ..when being reminded by your shots :)

I like the silhouetted pagoda building against the orange red sunset colours of the sky. Good sharpness and well composed with excellent symmetry. I might have blurred the sky to mask the banding patterns. Good juxtaposing of the natural tree at left with the temple at right. Tfs.
