This photo was taken one day before the main event of Gion Maturi. where all the big carriage was pull around the main streets of Kyoto city.rnrnThe Gion Matsuri was one of the biggest festival in Kyoto. You can see lots of people were out to see the carriage before they were taken down after the festival finished. Food stalls were also there selling various traditional japanese foods. The main roads were also closed for the people to walk around.rnrnThis festival is held every year on July. The main event is on the 17th of July. and 3 days before the day, is the preparation day where some ceremony will be held.
