Photographer's Note
The Trainmen of Tokyo are famous and sometimes ghost-like. I felt the conversion to black & white the only choice.

Magnifique cette photo... tout en noir et blanc, et le mouvement du train derrière...
Vraiment magique, bravo!

Hello David! Fast as the wind it moves by your train, and I like the blur it gave to your background. The Japanese train system is world-famous for its punctuality. He looks as he would take his job very serious ... he probably better does. Good catch, David, I like it. Barbara.

Hi David,
What a nice scene. Maybe the officer image would be less blurred but anyway I liked your photo very much. TFS...

Hey david!
lot's of emotion and dynamics here, you can feel the rush hour indeed...
:)
I don't know what was the full frame but I guess it was a landscape-oriented shot...A horizontal one could yield outstanding results (though this one is also good and effective).
You caught the feeling really nice - well done!

Hello David, I like the attitude of the guy, very quiet, he knows what he has to do probably doing that hundreds times a day even if all around evrything seems going very fast...nice shot.
regards.
Fabien.

David: whether intended or not, this shot really sings, with a creamy, soft look that pleases the eye from the get-go. Nicely presented. regards, c

superb one here again. The choice of the b&w is good and the background seems to be a sort of cream, delicate and soft...

Hi David,
The motion blur in this shot is simply great and gives the real impression of speed and I can almost feel the whoosh of the train as its coming past. I just like the overall feeling of the shot and I think that black and white was a good choice it might not have had the same mood in colour.

Hi David,
I loved the japan train station shots. It is kind of ironic the fact that all subjects are set in stone, waiting while the time and the train flies by.
Black and white fits well with the theme, but I think they are not shot black and white but converted, right?
May be increased contrast would enhance the mood.
Cheers
