Photographer's Note

A 'Toraja' vegetable seller and her distinctive traditional headdress that caught eye on my routine photo walkabout. Not sure about where she's looking, totally bored miles away, I don't think sells were too good that day, that’s why I couldn't resist taking regardless of how little I saw it.

Just a simple quick shot and slice of passing life taken at Bolu traditional morning market in Rantepao, South Sulawesi.

Setting: 200 mm, 1/1000, F2.8, ISO Raw 200, 0715 hrs

Hello Abmdsudi, a good observation of daily life from the market.
The woman is lost in thought, whilst another woman looks at what is for sale.
The colours catch our attention, as does the title.

The lady certainly appears to be deep in thought!
She is not interested in the lady who is a potential customer!
It's a photograph with a narrative, which I like.

The customer is very difficult to identify. It took me while to decide who or what she was and I enlarged the photograph to be sure. Maybe just to crop the main character would have worked very well and would still have created the same impression.

A very good side portrait of this seller sitting there deep in thoughts. The warm tones of her clothes stand out well from the dark background, just as the bit of green in the middle.

I would have titled it "the portrait of the angry woman", what a bland gesture, if she saw that you were taking a picture of her she would have almost hit you, with that face she wouldn't sell much vegetables.
Sharpness, lighting and color are perfect.
