I took this photo at the village at Tamblingan lake.. (you may see the lake at the background).
These men were doing a negiciation about something.. maybe about cock fighting in the village.
The smoke came out from a house of their neighbour, and for me, it helps to add a dramatic morning ambience on this photo.

Truly dramatic and very attractive!
I would crop it just above the upper baskets, to give more focus on the main objects.

Magnificent shot, the atmosphere - well, I am almost choking on the dust myself. Such a hardy scene too, the texture, light, silhouettes..awesome.

Hi Yoga,
The smoke does indeed add a dramatic effect giving a stage like or cinematic feel. I like the light filtering through the smoke and also casting the the men and their birds into a light silhouette, and creating long shadows that look like giant chickens. I also like that they are framed by the circle of baskets, focusing in the attention on them and their meeting.

What a mood!!! perfect in b and w, cause of the various shadows, the morning light, the dust through the whole scene, the plenty of small holes in the chicken boxes, and of course the unusual scenario!!! wonderful pic with a nowhere, no time atmosphere!
