Photographer's Note
On a very special evening in Yogyakarta I was treated to a traditional all-night performance of Wayang Kulit, the famous Indonesian shadow puppets who enact tales from the ancient Hindu epics. These last 9pm-6am, with the dhalang or puppetmaster not only operating the puppets but providing the voices and subtly guiding the gamelan (Indonesian orchestra). Needless to say it was an amazing experience.
