Photographer's Note
This is in continuation of my previous post on the same theme. A different horse here but the background is the same, Chowringhee, the busiest business district in Kolkata.

The contrast between those modern buildings and the horse is fantastic, it´s like a metaphore of modero and/or old times. Colors are great the the balance between the ground and the sky is very well done. Very interesting photo Sabyasachi.

Hi Sabyasachi,
A beautiful composition, my friend!
I love the contrast between the rural and the urban, so well depicted here...
Funny... it seems like each of the buildings has its own cloud..!

Fantastic and really original, special picture.
I love the connection between the modern part of the town and rural one.
A connection but especially the opposition between them.
Ps. I am not sure about the colors saturation, hmmm.....

Interesting picture showing the clashes of a new submerging modernity against a truely forgotten world.
There are some thechnical points that I don't like very much. The picutre has a tilt to the left and the colors seems to be a little bit to oversaturated.
I guess you used a circular polarizing filter to achieve the cotton like appearance of the clouds.
Overall a very appealling shot.
Cheers, Peter

Hi Sabyasachi
Clearness of this shot is perfect and light is just amazing, especially on the horse. I like also the way you framed it.

Good day, Sabyasachi.
The horse in front of the high-rising apartment buildings sure is a nice touch, but
- the colors are oversaturated
- the noise in the sky is significant
- the white building at the left is overexposed
- writing the title L I K E . T H I S doesn't save it either
Sorry if this sounds negative, but a look at some of your other photos suggests that you can do much better.

Hi Sabyasachi,
The light and color you've captured here are pure magic; especially in the sweep of the horse's tail. In addition to the contrast between urban and rural, the strong geometric forms of the three buildings contrast with the flowing tail and puffy clouds.

Bonsoir, Sabayasachi. Amicalement, Grazyna.

This is not the Calcutta that we are used to see on world new!!! But at the same time it is not difficult to imagine a horse feeding on a park in front of the business district. You are doing very well, showing us different views of your nice town. I really do appreciate it. For the photo, it is very nice with a good composition and very good colours. I also like the two different skies, the blue and the white. Well done.

Great capture of the great part of our city Kolkata. The sharpness is just amazing. But, the colour is a bit over saturated I think and particularly the colour of the sky. Those two layers of the sky colour is a bit disturbing to me. Why is that, is that lower part of the sky filled with white clouds? and the upper part seems too much blue compared to normal Kolkata sky. Sorry, but I think there is a little negative points here for the first time in your gallery.
Best regards
Sayan

As with your previous shot from here the contrast between the rural nature of the foreground and the city behind is unexpected. The difference in the sky points to the pollution of the city and the clear air above I think.

the colors are very good, maybe a little oversaturated, but it is good anyway.

Hello Sabyasachi
Not exactly what we may expect when we think about your hometown, Kolkata, but as a picture it is a great one. Very unexpected subject with the horse and the business district and the pretty puffy clouds but also with a great light. Many thanks - Izzet

Wht a contrast here. Very 'simplified' compo, the objects are well positoned and seperated from each other. And I enjoy the warm tones, making this more pleasant and appealing. Gd pic of great colors yet again. TFS!

When I think 'It's Portrait Time" I mean 'It's Sabyasachi Time".
Oh, man! One of the most charming horses' portrait I had the pleasure to see... Ever.
OK... OK... I won't mention those incredibly saturated colors, of which recipe you will take with you to your grave, my friend.
No, I won't mention those sparking lights in every one of your beauties, which secrets you will take....
No! I'm talking just about the portrait of the horse in the outskirts of Kolkata, India, somewhere in the vast Asian continent.
Stay great as you are, pal.
You make this world a better place to live.
Oh, well... At least much brighter place to live (:-)))
HAGDay, Sabyasachi.
Stay cool.

this is such an untypical view from India that the originality itself dererves the praise. neither the architecture nor the horse is what we asociate with India, still what you're shpwing is as true as temples, to tell the truth this reminds me of a Polish landscape:-) fantastic colour treatment, it came out so strong and poster-like. great idea.
