Photographer's Note
Chittorgarh is the largest fort complex in India, nearly 6km long and 500m across, and is a fascinating place to explore. It sits atop a hill that rises abruptly from the plains, its defensive walls augmented on all sides by 150m-plus cliffs.
Next to it (in the distance) an industrial complex.

Hallo Gerrit
The bg industrial complex at left add interest, but its distance, hazy appearance and faded colors quickly shift attention back to the fg fort complex as the main focal point, with its vibrant colours and sharper definition. Tfs!

Goedemiddag Gerrit,
Schitterend foto werk, bedankt.
Ik wens u een prettig einde jaar,
John.

Hi Gerrit,
Wonderful view of this ancient fortification. It makes a surprising combination with the background factory complex, which is quite impressive too. I'm not sure why the sky looks so grainy.

Hallo Gerrit,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi Gerrit.
Spectacular situation of this ancient city at the top of this steep hill, ideal the belt of walls and the remains of palaces, good perspective of the current city in the valley.

Hi Gerrit,
Interesting idea for an original photo composition, two parts in your shot with the better rendering for the Fg, the most interesting with old architecture style, good warm tones, tfs.

Hi Gerrit,
Very well spotted contrast of the old and new, close and distant, clear and covered by a fog.
Brilliant presentation of this ancient structure, very well selected point of view.
Happy New Year!

Hello Gerrit,
Most imposing sight of the old fort and the ancient wall surround.
The modern factory down in the valley a bit spoiling the environment, but I got the point with contrasting subjects here.
Wish you a happy new 2022 year.
