Photographer's Note

When I saw this lady clad in blue in the magnificent temple, to me she looked more like a priestess. With her elegant silhouette moving around the columns, there was something ethereal about her.

KRISHNA TEMPLE complex is the largest in Hampi and is one of the must-see sites in the lost realm. It was built around 1515 AD. The carvings are especially spectacular with the YALIS (mythical lions) on the pillars.

KRISHNA is worshipped as a complete avatar of the preserver god Vishnu. Often portrayed as a young boy playing the flute or as a prince giving direction and guidance.

In WS, I show some other views of the temple complex.
