the contrast between the figure and the background, and the sharpness of the water and details on the shirt and face all make this a lovely shot. the smile is very infectious

Real happiness can be seen in this young man's face. This is technically a very good photograph with good sharpness where it matters and an excellent out of focus BG. You have positioned him in just the right place in the frame. An original and wonderful image.
