Photographer's Note

This is the largest section of the temple, still standing, within the compound. The pillars are massive because of the need to bear the load of additional storeys, and they themselves now need help. Rudra is a Rigvedic God associated with the wind and storms, and thus he is "terrible" or "frightening". He is also called "The Archer", associated with the hunt, so an arrow is the essential attribute.
