Photographer's Note
The Kailashnatha temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is the oldest temple of Kanchipuram. It was built by the Pallava King Rayasimha in the late 7th century AD and reflects the freshness and simplicity of the early Dravidian style of temple architecture. There are a number of small shrines within this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi (Lord Shiva's consort) and their sons, Ganesh and Murugan.
Restoration work by the Archeological Survey of India in progress.

My dear Sridhar,
I've been away for the Easter break so just catching up on your posts.
The stone carving work here looks amazing, such intricate details. Good POV and composition, everything fits well into your frame.
Nice shot. Amazing to see those guys working on the restoration in bare feet, if it was happening here Work Cover and the Unions would have the site closed down before you knew it.
Best wishes my friend
Peter
