Children of the Slums, a photo from Maharashtra, West

Photographer's Note

These three children live on the sidewalk of a buisy thoroughfare in Bombay. I was struck by the equisite beauty of the girl on the left and the studious stare of the the little boy in the center. India in many ways reminds me of how lucky I am but on the other hand, I have learned many lessions through my encounteres with slum dwellers and that is their appreciation of the simple things in life that I take for granted; they have an enormous capicity for joy and wonder that makes me feel ashamed.

You have captured the kids so well. I like the way you framed the image and their curious and playful expressions. Picture is a little bit soft, and maybe it could use some sharpening.
