Photographer's Note
The last picture from the fishing beach of Pudimadaka that I am going to post (for the present). I don't know what the man was thinking about as he gazed at the freshly caught fish. It looks like it was his day off. The big tuna, we were told, is sent to the Vizag fishing harbour mainly for export. Vizag does have an annual seafood export business of about $ 5 billion, though i wonder what percentage of that price reaches the fishermen, who, despite making an astonishing amount of effort on daily basis, do not seem to lead a prosperous life by any standards.

He caught the fish in success
And in my opinion he was thinking of how to sell them:)
He was contemplating to find affluent customers to sell them
So why he was gazing to the fish

Hi Satya, Impressive view of these huge tuna fishes. I think the fisherman can be proud of these catch. But as you write, it is not he who has the profit.

hello Satya
Tuna fishes lying dead on the beach attrack this man in local dress. You've tried to lighten his face but it's too visible because you overlap on his hair!
Cheers

Hello Satya,
I think the fishing industry and agriculture are branches where the middle-men and those at the end of the distribution chain make by far the most money. The world economy is full of injustices. That doesn't make this photo less attractive. The man's "body language" surely indicates that a lot of thoughts are going through his brain. I would also find a lot to think about if I saw all these huge fishes. He is nicely placed looking into the composition and behind him the wet sand has a beautiful pink tone.
Kind regards,
Gert

I imagine the efforts produced by that fisherman don't yield a profit Sathya, they go fishing with small wooden boats taking hazards, I'm impressed by the huge tuna fishes they captured by hand

Just when I was about to say, they eat a lot of Tuna in Vizag again, I noticed your note mentioning about the export business. It is true and a harsh reality that the people standing on shore make more money out of the efforts of people off shore, I too have thought about it, but can't seem to understand where the cut happens.
The composition could have been improved, I presume it was an intuitive shot, the PP on the Man's face looks like a lens flare to me, but overall the picture has a lot of meaning which is what I like most.
Cheers, Blue
