Photographer's Note

Step farming is a method that arable land can be cultivated, even on the steepest of slopes. This was taken in Parwanoo, in Himachal Pradesh.

Parwanoo is a small town on the way to Shimla from New Delhi. The town is home to many resorts, some providing excellent lodging facilities in the calm of the mountains. Timber trail is a resort that has a cable car running across the mountains. It is quite an experience. There are also cable car rides from Parwanoo to Kasauli, another quiet hill station in Himachal. Mezza 9 is the restaurant, suggesting an in between floor between the plains of Chandigarh below and the peaks of Shimla above. Wonderful views of the valley can be seen from here.

Hi Jyothi!
Though your perspective while taking this picture is grand, you have not reviewed the end product for its overall impact. First of all, tentative details like those half hidden settlements on top of the slope do not go well with what you intended to show here. Secondly, the colours are dull and need to be enhanced.
I have done a workshop on your image. I hope you will find it interesting.

the picture is not a photogenic but I like what you saw here. Very beautiful formation probably created by human. Well seen.
I also noticed you website www.incredibleIndiaphotos.com. Congratulations and keep up the work. You and that site goes into my favourite.
