This is from the same concert. Zakir Hussian perhaps is the best known Tabla player in the world... and he is very charming as a person also.

Shot with 3200TMAX, came out very grainy which is why the black background was more gray than black...I increased the contrast and lowered the brightness to get this effect...(to my taste)

The white round at the left top is a spot light in the light out hall.

He is the world's most famous tabla palyer for sure..
Nice image, it must be a very nice print... I kind of like the spot light giving us a moon feeling..

The compo is nice and I do like the effect of the increased contrast. I think a +- thin white frame would be more adequate here.. I've tried it on my pc and it works imo.

Quite an original and artistic way of showing him, I do like this shot quite a lot. The border also suits the photo.

OK - so now maybe I'm getting a little envious Zara - perhaps Claude is too? I would love to see Zakir Hussain in concert - to see him in concert in India would be one better! I like this image very much - it is not always easy to get good concert pictures because of all sorts of restrictions on movement and composition etc, lighting - there are certainly technical criticisms of this photo for sure but not before a full acknowledgement of the achievement of the image, the creative tension, emotion and the powerful composition.

I eard taba for the first time in Varanasi after I met you in Mcleod ganje .
The light here make something quite surnatural .The king is shining !
