Photographer's Note
artisan at kumarpara, prasastha is giving final touches to an idol of "ganesha" before starting to colour it within few days as festive days are nearing rapidly. organisers already started to press them to finish their "durga" idol fast.
for more detail on prasatha see here.

Hi Arjun,
Thanks for pointing out the eye contact, they both seem to be intensely staring at each other. Excellent POV. What kind of light was there? The skin tones look a bit distorted.
Best Wishes

Hi Arjun,
Very interesting stare at each other indeed!!The lord Ganesha seems to be pleased enough that he is being cared upon!!But the skin tones at places looks a bit blurry to me,may be problem of light??
Interesting snap.

A well framed clear portrait of the artist Arjun, he got a very contrated expression finishing Ganesh, well placed at the side.

Hi Arjun,
thgeres a nice interaction between the man and the statues, as you say, eye contact is made. But theres more than that. The physical connection is there too which underlines the eye contact. The only drawback is that theres a bit of softness in this image. If this was tack sharp, wow. Still a good idea a nice result.

Good day friend.
You know, you have managed to instill in me the anticipation for this festival that I feel for a holiday such as Christmas. Your photos are working. Again a great shot, I like the concentration that the artisan is showing to the idol. The contrast of his vibrant colors against the muted colors of the idols work well.
good job,
Chris.
:) be back.

Hi Arjun
Good capture of this artisan at work. The contrast between the colourless Ganesha and the artisian is quite marked. I like the composition and the pov. The light is a little strong on the artisan but the shot still works well.
Good work

Very nice title, I probably would not have noticed that he is looking into the eyes of his sculpture, as if it was communicating with him. Well done!

Arjun
Although I like the lighting in a lot of your statue photos better, I like this because it tells me about daily life. The man seems very concentrated and cares about the detail of his work. I wonder why all the hands are missing - maybe they are sculpted separately and added later
Cheers
Ian
