***I SHOOT IT IN BURDWAN,WEST BENGAL,INDIA.WITH 35-70MM.***
Older people are especially vulnerable during and after humanitarian crises, due to their physical frailty and lack of mobility. During aid distribution, they often get neglected.
India is witnessing a demographic revolution, leading to a considerable increase in the proportion of older people in the population. Aging has become a gender issue in India not only because more women are surviving into old age; they are also vulnerable and disadvantaged in many ways. In most cases they are the only caregivers available for the old and disabled.

A really interesting pan because of the forward figure now out of focus - it's a very nice action shot ...I'm not sure if I wouldn't have preffered to see the whole thing in sharper focus though.....

Hi Subir,
Your pictures are mostly exhibition material and this one is no exception. The sharp focus on the running woman as against the static OOF of the older man, the thatched hut and the not so healthy calf ably sums up rural life in Bengal.
