Photographer's Note

Firstly the cow is not my pet.. so people from TE do not remove this .. last time i had posted a pic with cat in it which was removed from TE .. saying pet photos are not allowed (cat was not my pet)

Looking at this photo many people asked if the cow was made up of plastic.. and many many wondered why was the cow giving pose to me... but nothing like that

I just caught her while i was watching sunRise at kalapokhri (sandakphu).
Its a lovely sight to witness sunrise especially when the sun plays hide and seek with the clouds..

Sandakphu is actually a trek in clouds no matter which season it is

I don't think this one will be removed and let me tell that you have quite a great photo with the cow and hill perfectly silhouetted against this beautiful sunrise. Love the smooth colours in the sky and the atmosphere of this photo.

Hi Rima,
I can say from experience, the trek to Sandakphu is one of the most rewarding in the Himalayas but this is a very different picture from this route, where you are more used to seeing the snow capped mountains or the blooming rhododendrons. Excelent composition here, how the silhouetted and the lighted portion is divided in half and half. The cow obviously id the high point. Great work!

Pet or no pet, the cow is the focal point here. The silhoutte makes the picture so beautiful.
