The Boat waiting, a photo from Orissa, East

Photographer's Note

Fishing is the main occupation for the people who live near the biggest lake of Asia, Chilka. When I arrived in the meeting point of Chilka lake and the sea, it was noon. So, the fising boats are not used at that time. It is knotted with the rope on the bay of the lake.

it has that post-card style and atmosphere.

The boat creates a good lead-in. The effect of the wind is palpable with the ripples on the water. The red cloth really stands out strongly against the blue...very nice!

The cut up and/or below makes the picture extra
wide and the great composition emphasize that
extra. The layers and the diagonal lines of
the boat creates a nice depth. The light
