Photographer's Note
Thoughts, memories, desires, hallucinations, fears, nostalgia, hopes, obessions, wishes... will vanish in the quiet lapping of the water.
In front of the sacred Ganga river, or in contemplation of the ocean, the incessant movement of the flowing water reminds us that nothing is permanent, and eventually, that troubles and sadness, like passion and happiness, will also pass, in a constant renewal of our states of mind. The only permanency, in this impermanent mental and emotional flow, is the movement, like those of the water. Things will move and change the next minute, hour, day, week, ... ect.
Our certitudes will be dissolved by the next experience. Our beliefs will melt in new concepts. Our fears will be drowned by the next wave of emotions.
At the end, remains only the quiet and reassuring rocking of the water. Like a maternal embrace of the origins. A view that leads us back to the core of our life. A promise of peace and if necessary, of redemption.
And we stay still, hypnotized, by the consciousness of a reachable Nirvana.
If only we were really trying to attain it!
Dedicated to Sayeed who failed to be a sadhu in this life but might suceed in the next ?! :)
Actually, dedicated to you ONLY if you MOVE your a... from the nuptial bedroom to take a new serie of photos, dear!

Bonjour Marine,
Strong wavy colours reflections. A joyful shot, quite contrasting with the dark - but fantastic - movie refered to in the title. (I like that.) A nice dedicated to Sayeed also. Remembered here too.
Cheers & bonne weekend.

Hello Marine!
Fantastic achievement! Beautiful reflections on the white background exacerbated by over-exposure! Very good! The effect makes the image just like a thick paint a watercolor! Congratulations!
Best regards, Nino.

Greetings Marine!
Keen eye! Very observant on the scene you've captured. Love how the reflections differ in color, the degree of distortion and the positioning of the subject as well as the framing. This image is carefully composed! Flawless. I would love to have capture this kind of image too! Very nice!
Have a great day,
Matt

Marine
Ces reflets colorés sont très expressifs et s'associent de belle façon à ta note. Je suppose que tu tenais à garder cette "vague" au premier plan mais je me demande si je ne l'aurais pas coupée un peu pour ne pas faire apparaitre les pieds?
Amicalement

Bonjour Marine!
And sometimes reflections are real...some thoughts, memories, desires, hallucinations, fears, nostalgia, hopes, obessions, wishes...and dreams are on reflections...ususally another dimmension...always a different mirror from real life, sometimes interesting to see through reflection to define reality, to find the most pricipal lines and elements, avoiding all that is not necessary, focusing on principal...
Surely Ganga will reduce our reflection to a minimum expression...reduce our souls to a light breeze, and our volumes to fading silhouettes...
Great image and great note...Thanks...
Manu

Ah Marine
bon week end

Hi Marine
this is simple and yet stunning! A true photographer's and artist's observation. The amount of colour and its positioning is genius, as is the abstract feel of the whole composition. A really creative and beautifully presented image. Mesmerising!!
Enjoy your weekend - Brian.

Marine: very psychedelic - a great canvas. I too don't have as much time as before - and it gets a little boring stay in the same place... Regardding your question about color - well I was purposely going for a less saturated more realistic look - perhaps I went too far (?). Would somewhere in between be better. I wish I had time (for photography) and money (for travel)... But changes occur in life... c

Namaste Marine
'Breaking the Waves' ..a film from Lars Von Trier!
Fine reflection on the wet sand & neatly turned upside down which creates a fine impression. The line of surf breaking the shore in the lower half makes good viewing.
A fine shot with the surreal impressions as if in water colours!
Regards
Angshu
