Photographer's Note

The Munja Talao lies just to the west of the Jahaz Mahal (front right), and is the larger of the two tanks (bodies of water). To the north lie a jumble of ruins, the purpose of which is unclear, albeit they are deemed to have formed the private residences of the Sultans of Malwa. The rainfall in Mandu was always generous, particularly during monsoon season.
