Here a view of Georgian Military Highway.
Georgian Military Highway is the historic name for a major route through the Caucasus from Georgia to Russia.The Georgian Military Road (ca. 212 kilometres long) runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia) and follows the traditional route used by invaders and traders throughout the ages.

Hello Piotr,

Are these wagons waiting because of the volume of traffic or are they waiting to be checked before they cross the border? It certainly doesn't look an easy road to follow!
You have revealed a very rugged terrain with the road snaking towards the mountains, where the road disappears and seems impossible to continue!
The huge backup of wagons is instrumental in giving a good sense of perspective.
A most unusual photograph!

I haven't seen that many trucks when I traveled along the Georgian Military Highway.
The long row leads us nicely through the impressive mountain landscape.

Witaj Piotr!

Where is the next border? Or is the road that very crowded?
This interesting image shows that traffic shows other phenomena outside Europe than we central europeans are used to. And it is still the old theme: man on the road, whatever his objective may be.

You encountered a terrible traffic situation but it provided you with a good photo. This seemingly endless line of trucks creates a superb feeling of depth far into the picture. The scenery is exciting to watch and in this case the knowledge of approaching an international boundary brings another kind of excitement.

Years ago caravans of horse-carriages were passing here, now we see a convoy of many trucks and semi-trailers waiting to pass, Piotr.
But, the view of the surrounding slopes in lavish green, and scaled from the valley up - is maybe more attractive and interesting than the vehicles on this compo.
Fine outcome, well shown.

cześc Piotrze, A cуż tam się dzieje? Taki długi wąż tirуw do Rosji? Prawie końca nie widać. Całkiem inaczej to wyglądało w zimie, droga była całkiem pusta. Ciekawe zdjęcie, dobra ostrość. Piekny kaukaski krajobraz.
