Photographer's Note

it happens that I hear or read that the place I want to visit is not worth going. "You go to Brisbane (or Adelaide?? What for? ". The same was with Batumi. I never trust such opinions, make my research and check it by myself. We spared one day going by night train (and skipping Stalin's Museum in Gori) and went to Batumi. We were very surprised and pleased. After all winter landscapes, remote monasteries, old town a bit neglected, we found ourselves in a very nice town that had something for some of you. Beach scenes for Gert, wide beach with crystal clear sea for Luciano, striking examples of modern architecture for Craig and even ancient ruins for Mesut. And hot weather and lush vegetation.
here the general view of batumi with some towers. On the right side - Alphabetic Tower that I have shown already. Going to the right, a slender white minaret of a mosque, then a hotel with white roof, I do not remember what. The highest one - Batumi Technical University Tower. Do you see a yellow patch? This is a ferris wheel. Crazy. Far left - Sheraton hotel. There is also tower on the nice "Italian" square, Piazetta, Gert showed it on his Workshop photo.
I made this photo through the glass window of the cable car, it could be better, I know, but I just want to give you an idea.
Sorry, I uploaded too big photo, better not to see it in beta :). Other view in Workshop, I am afraid not much better. Should I delete it?
