Photographer's Note
This photo was taken inside the Taoist temple, Fung Ying Seen Koon, in Hong Kong's New territories.
It shows one of the smaller temples in the complex and one of the two larger 'burners' that I found.
It was a very peaceful area with lots of beautiful trees, but the trees above the 'burner' looked as if they were dying.
Tech: Cropped, resized and sharpened. Added border.

It is curious, as soon as I see this kind of temple, there is a sort of urge to collect itself. A sort of invitation in the pondering and the consideration.
A very beautiful recording Andrew. Which is the meaning or the usage of " burner " Andrew ?
Thank you for the sharing.

A very nice peaceful place here Andrew, beautiful soft colours, the architecture is different with here in Europe, but very lovely.

This is interesting, what do they burn there? THere is an intereting mixture of architecture styles, Philippe is right, it is very inviting, at list the left part of the frame. Well seen and done, Andrew.

Excellent perspective and use of lines, Andrew, and a wonderfully crisp rendition of all the ornamental details. Yes, the trees above the "burner" don't look that healthy really, but other than that this is a very delightful view with good colors. Like the others said, it looks very inviting. Well done.

You spotted a fine contrast between that very clean temple and the burner house - a fine TE document of life and death around the world - thanks Andrew.

A very different image from your latest pictures. Contrary to your urban life shots, this shot seems very peaceful. The thing that strikes me in your picture, it is this little white barrier in foreground. It is very detailed and sharp and offers a nice contrast with the background. You frame a beautiful composition where all the elements are well arranged and balanced. Well Done!

The setting in this composition is one of peacefulness. The buildings surrounded by all this greenery really gives that feel. In addition the crispness of the shot seems to show a crisp, pure, air. Very clean and refreshing. The diagonals invite me into this shot and create a nice line up to see all the points in this photograph. Nicely done.

I like your Taoist temple photos, Andrew. Watching all the carved and gracefully designed details, so well rendered in this photo. A lovely framing with the branches hanging down, the beautifully ornamented white railing and the burner, which seems a bit odd. I meant to ask about the use, but see that you've replied Philippe, so I'll check that. This is definitely "learning something about the world". Well done!
