Photographer's Note
This photo shows the entrance to the main temple in Fung Ying Seen Koon.
In my previous shot of the dragon, this temple was blurred in the background.
Fung Ying Seen Koon is a Taoist temple located on the hillside of Fanling, in the New Territories of Hong Kong.
Tech: Cropped top and right side. Resized and sharpened. Contrast +6. Brightness +3.

I simply love those temples. It's just like the Tibetan temples I had the chance to visit. The red is omnipresent, the incense. Always a sentiment of peace in those places. I like your shot Andrew. The light is very well balanced.

I like these temples. There is something very calm and free there. I like the red color they use, and the ceiling is always interesting. a very pleasnt, ballanced and clear shot, Andrew.

Robbertjan, at first I thought you were talking about that Japanese 'documentary' in HK airport that I read about in South China Morning Post today ;-)
Anyway, another very impressive picture. It's interesting seeing such a scene without people in it. You can see that someone has just been there as the insense is burning, but the absence of anyone in the photo gives it a bit of an errie feeling I think.

Interesting temple and very colourful. It looks a peaceful place, and the incence burning is a good feature. I might have had that at the very bottom of the shot, to include more of the roof. Great shot, well captured.

Effectivement on y voit les mêmes colonnes que su le second plan du dragon.
J'apprécie les détails des sculptures en haut des arcades.
La profondeur me plait car le dernier plan reste très détaillé.
Encore une bonne image Andrew

Hi Andrew. I'm glad you have included a shot of the temple from yesterday's dragon shot. I love the bright colours, and the smoke rising from the incense really adds a lot to the feel of the picture. Very well done!

The angle you chose here is excellent, Andrew, as it really opens up the view on the details of this splendid structure. Very intricate decorative work here, and I like the predominance of red and yellow. The smoke from the incense on the right is a wonderful atmospheric detail. Very well captured.

Andrew, everyone always gets to your photos before me and says what I was going to say. This photo is really exceptional in every way, and I love the amount of details. The lighting was really good for you, so the bright colors didn't overpower the full scene. Keep posting...

Nice colors and good detail in this shot. I like the perspective looking through the end of this collonade and through the other building and beyond to the trees. The difference in light and haze between each adds a great sense of depth. Very good job.

Very different from the "church" where I use to come - I like the reflections in the pillars - giving a 3D effect - and the smoke which add a element of life to the photo - thanks for sharing Andrew.

Ahh, the strong colours, the environment almost as smelling the burning sticks.
Excellent shot Andrew

Nice exposure. Perhaps a bit of selective lightening using a large history brush in the upper shadowed ceiling area bringing out the beautiful woodwork. I probably would have not brightened as much but thats just my personal taste (a character flaw I'm told). Very nice capture and composition! Will cherish the time if I get to go someday. Thanks for sharing
