Photographer's Note

After my last photo showing traffic congestion in Hong Kong, I thought I would post a photo that shows the beauty of Hong Kong too.

The Lam Tsuen River - located on the east side of the New Territories - starts from Tai Mo Shan and passes through the Lam Tsuen Valley, Tai Wo, Tai Po Market and then flows into the Tolo Habour.

The area along the river has been developed into parks and recreational footpaths, which stretch for miles.

This shot was taken at Tai Po, a major residential town and the centre of the pearl trade 1,000 years ago.
