Photographer's Note

An early morning was for me the best time to explore the charming Lijiang old town with a history of 800 years - the quiet hours when town folks were just started going about the daily lives minus all the ugly click-click tourists. Strolling through many small long narrow cobble-stoned alleys, flanked by lovely traditional wooden houses, was the best way to experience the time-locked elegance of this place - home to some 25000 Naxi ethnic minority who are descendants from Tibetan nomads.

A shot taken in Shuhe village and this was very much lifted by the presence of Naxi mom and child in their traditional costumes.
