Beautiful Andrew, great details and nice action shot, like many of your photos, this is a wonderful view on the city and quite a nice background, well seen.

Nice shot! With close-up on 2 sail boats and a few more in the background, all going in the same direction. The buildings and mountains in the background add interest.

Great shot, Andrew. I love all the layers -- water, boats, city, mountains and sky. Muted colors are very nice here, but the black frame might be a little heavy for them.

Very nice composition, Andrew. The verticality of the boats plays wonderfully with the one of the buildings and the mountains. Them it looks near the B&W or low level of colour, all but one of the boat that you have achived to catch in the middle of the frame. Maybe, just maybe, a little bit more of contrats would work great. Thanks for sharing and congratulations from Madrid.

Very nice shot! And a good contrast of the motion of the boats and the still buildings and moutains.Congratulations!

Through out your photo there is a repetion of triangles, (sails, mountains, even the outline of the buildings have a loose triangular feeling. The details are good and bright yellow sail punches up the whole scene quite nicely.

This looks like an armada of sailboats setting out from Hong Kong for some sort of grand voyage. You composed it nicely giving more space ahead of them for them to travel into. As usual the Hong Kong skyscrapers and mountains beyond offer a dramatic backdrop. Just push up the contrast a bit to make it less flat and this will be really great. Nice job.

We were both shooting sailboats on September 18th Andrew, half a world away from one another. I had Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge as backdrop while you have Hong Kong skyscrapers and a mountain. What a world in which we live!
The colors and details are very well rendered here despite the haze that often appears in Hong Kong from air pollution I imagine. Colors are from a very narrow palette with only the bright yellow sail in the midground with its red side showing relieves the subdued pastels of the buildings and the muted green of the hill. Perhaps pastels are all that is is allowed nowadays in Hong Kong... ;-)
Fine capture and an excellent contribution to TE Andrew.

Sports photo there.
Informations are sustained by the precision of your framing.
Loved it also for sharpness and colours

Nice shot Andrew, I love the muted colours and the way the yellow sail really stands out exagerating the fact that it's going the opposite way to the rest.
Nice shot

A full action shot Andrew, the sailboats on the forground and there between, the great buildings, perfect composition, everything sharp and clear! I like it!

Well framed Andrew! I like the depth of your picture with this high mountain in background, the buildings appears much smaller. The boats in foreground offer a nice pattern of diagonals created by all the sails.

What a good combination, a bit of action against that famous beautiful backdrop. Very well composed with the boat in front just entering the frame and leading the eye in the right direction. On the technical side, you don't mention the frame (which I incidentally find slightly superflous - but don't ask me why).

Great action shot. The shot is not too crowded because the boats are nicely spaced out. I like the lighting which creates this wonderful mood. HK's skyline is great as a background.

Sailboats usually create nice patterns, Andrew, as they tend to lean equally, when going in the same direction. And most of your's do - I see only one (the more colorful) going the other way. The three boats up front, together describe nice diagonals with a lot of free space ahead. The two skylines as backdrop work fine, although more in distance than usually. The light haze is creating soft colors and help show some depth. Well captured and well done!

Great variation of the "boats in front of Hong Kong" theme, Andrew, with a delightfully busy result of these colorful boats against the seemingly even more colorful skyline in the back. Good depth and crisp rendition of details, and I like the diagonal made by three of the boats closest to the front. Very well captured.

And where were you standing, Andrew?
This is really different one, because usually you show us tug boats in this harbor, and this one has a much happier atmospher. I like the colors and the brightness here. I wonder how that mountain is kept un-settled yet.

Nice shot Andrew;
The boats all facing the same way, really does make for a great shot against the backdrop of Hong Kong.
Nice and cleart shot-
Cheers!

Nice one Andrew.
You did well to show 3 similarly looking boats diminishing in size from L to R. Great photo shown against a fabtastic backdrop.
Well done,

Wow - what a composition and setup you got on this shot - I like the lines of the boats and the combination of soft sails and hard skyscapers in the background - A great photo indeed - just wonder about that boat sailing the "wrong" way :-) Thanks Andrew - A favorite.

Ah, I missed that one. Maybe it is worth it to have a look on a Saturday. That is what I like about the harbour. The urban area is always a good background for all sorts of activities. Well shot this one, the way the three front boats are positioned.

Very nice. Good angles of the sails. Good repetition. The yellow and the red sail is a good break. Very nice colors all in all.

Very good image of a regatta. The diagonal made by the front boats is very nice as well the great background created by the city and mountain. A bit more contrast could enhance this image even more.

J'aime cette photographie Andrew, voir une régate en plein coeur de Hong-Kong ; ces voiliers sur un fond d'une ville qui vit à 100 Km/h, cela ressemble à un rêve.
Excellent !
