Photographer's Note

A closer view of the outdoor standing statue of Guanyin at Bo An Buddhist Temple in north eastern Hainan Island. There are actually 4 statues, with one for each direction of north, south, east and west. Guanyin is the Goddess of Mercy & Compassion. Guanyin is the Chinese name of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva in Buddhism.

Hello Chris,
Nicely photographed with good sharpness and a plain background that enhances the features of the statues. It's very tightly cropped, with a few fingers lost, but there's no great harm done.

A beautiful close-up of these three large heads of the sculpture. Their greyish tones stand out well from the light blue sky. Excellent sharpness.

Hello Chris,

This is a really crisp capture of the statues of Guanyin.
It's almost like looking at her in a dressing table mirror, where the side views are shown as well as a front view!
The plain b/g enhances the clarity of the statues.
