Photographer's Note

This is a pond in the area known as the Yu Gardens Bazaar. The building that you're looking at is a restaurant, if I recall correctly. Tourists come to the Bazaar for the delicious snacks, shop for souvenir and, of course, sight-see!

The main attaction around here is the Yu Gardens, built by a rich Ming dynasty official. A fine example of Ming architecture, the gardens took 18 years to complete (1559 - 1577)!
