Photographer's Note

This is the name given to this huge tower of Shanghai, 468 meters and surmounted by TV transmitters.
An original architecture that seems to inspire this artist making a drawing of this tower to the three spheres. A "pearl", or rather 3 pearls, sometimes compared to a ... giant cup ball !

La peinture en direct ! heu, j'ai des doutes quant а la reprйsentation fidиle de cette tour qui chatouille le ciel !
Il faut avoir du courage pour peindre de cette faзon.
Maintenant, je ne connais pas grand chose а l'art contemporain !

Hello Jean,
This young lady, who doesn't look like a painter at all, makes an attractive free interpretation of the huge tower.
She only roughly uses the shapes of the tower to place them in her own world.

This is a photo of my favourite kind. The young woman and her painting provide a very good focal-point and there are some fantastic buildings in the background. Colours and light are very good, and it's interesting to see how she has allowed herself complete artistic freedom.

Wow! Blue sky in Shanghai. I lived in Jiangsu for 10 months and almost never saw a blue sky! You were very lucky. Nice catch of the artist and her rendition of the Pudong Oriental Pearl Tower. Like the Eiffel Tower, most tourists go to the mid level observation deck. The expense of going to the top level isn't justified when the view is much the same. Tfs!

I don't think this painting resembles the pearl at all but you made a great decision to include the lovely girl with her work as a foreground for this famous structure.
Fantastic light.
Too often people show this view with grey skies, here: it is so well lit by the sun and set against the perfect blue sky!

A beautiful moment capture of the lady painter against towers on the far side of the waterway.
The beige dress and brown wooden-stand wonderfully contrast with the blue sky, which the painter also gave emphasis on the painting.

Oddly enough a scene I can relate to as I have walked along the Bund more than once or twice.
What I do find astounding is that you actually got some blue sky, something I must say I haven't seen a lot of in Shanghai.

The choice of scene is alternative, but not unknown as the Bund and the view of Pudong does gather people of various interest. One feature I like particularly is how you have captured the shadows of other people to create an illusion of a gathering crowd.
