SHANGHAI JEWELS AT NIGHT, a photo from Shanghai, East

Photographer's Note

Nanjing Road is the most famous commercial venue in Shanghai, it is filled with historic buildings and old department stores.
This is Edward Ezra Arcade, built in 1930 by a Jew millionaire. The building was restored recently.
I passed by this building twice and at first my photos weren't good and only in my second attempt I got a nice image.

A Nanjing Road й uma das mais famosas vias comerciais de Xangai, repleta de edifнcios histуricos e antigas lojas de departamento.
Essa й a Edward Ezra Arcade, um prйdio erguido em 1930 por um magnata Judeu. O edifнcio foi restaurado recentemente.
Passei diante desse prйdio por duas vezes e tirei fotos, mas apenas na segunda vez tive bom resultado.

Hello Jorge,

The building looks amazing!
It boasts a lot of Greek, classical designs.
Your composition adds so much to the impression of the building, nicely angled, the pillared opening standing out from the darker hues, like a movie screen in a dark cinema.
Looks even better in Beta!

Jorge, beautiful building facade seen in Nanjing road. I like the silver columns and the purple light, nice architectural details. Good image quality, excellent light management, regards.

Hello Jorge,
The illuminated part stands out with its silvery light and its classical details. It is nicely surrounded by the blueish light on the rest of the faзade and the black sky. It is indeed a remarkable building.

Hi Jorge,
very attractive decoration of the building indeed, but I can see it was challenging to capture it, the illumination although bringing out the beauty of this design as well is not very well balanced , the rest of the surrounding is darker and hence hard to expose and record it well.
But the most important that you succeeded.
The effect is very pleasant for the eye indeed.
I would never guess it is China.

An impressive photo of this special building that I did not expect directly in Shanghai.
Indeed difficult photo-technical conditions that often do not succeed immediately, but here give a great result.

The architecture is illuminated beautifully here and you captured it really well and with perfect sharpness. The dark blue surroundings are wonderful in combination with the brightly lit columns and balconies.
