Photographer's Note

This is Shanghai People's Heros Memorial Tower, it is a typical communist monument with many panels glorifying the value of the people during the history. The tower should be similar with four rifles put in vertical.
This place is located in a moth of a small Suzhou river in Huangpu River, near an old garden created by the British. In this garden was prohibited entrance of Chinese people and dogs during the colonial times, in the age named "China's humiliations Century".
In the BG you can see the Pearl Tower and the Highest building of the town, the other higher towers are hidden behind the monument.

Essa й a Torre Memorial dos Herуis do Povo de Xangai, um tнpico monumento comunista, com vбrios painйis prestando homenagem ao valor do povo durante a histуria. A torre teria o formato de quatro rifles posicionados em pй.
Ao fundo temos a Torre da Pйrola e o mais alto prйdio da cidade, sendo que os dois prйdios maiores a seguir estгo escondidos atrбs do monumento.
Esse local fica na foz do pequeno rio Suzhou no rio Huangpu e perto dali ficava um jardim criado pelos britвnicos onde cгes e chineses eram proibidos de entrar, naquele perнodo que foi batizado de "o Sйculo de Humilhaзхes da China".

A great photo of the memorial among the many high-rise buildings in the background. The red and yellow lines in the foreground lead very nicely towards the many vertical buildings and the people add a relaxed mood.

Hello Jorge,

Composition stands out, here, the coloured lines of tiles, converging towards the memorials, act as an irresistible guide. They are supported by the focal couple, heading in the same direction.
The city looks very futuristic from this angle, none of the colonial buildings in sight.

C'est curieux de voir а quel point les dirigeants sont attachйs а leur position politique avec ces йdifices monumentaux (qui rappellent davantage les pays qui ont une conception йconomique bien diffйrente !).

This is a perfect combination of amazing architecture, daily life and eye-catching small details. The red and yellow tiles, the casually dressed people and the incredible skyscrapers all contribute to an interesting composition. The clarity and colours are also very nice. But wasn't it enough to insert your signature once?

Jorge, people like to stroll in that square located in the in vogue part of Shanghai. Numerous modern buildings including the Pearl tower appear in the bg. Good pov, excellent sharpness.

You were lucky to see some blue sky. It can go for weeks with grey/white smoggy air. Good sharpness and perspective. The Oriental Pudong Pearl tower in the bg has a great lookout in that bubble. Like the Eiffel tower, the mid level view is fine. Tfs!

Very strange this monument. from this perspective, it seems higher than the Pearl Tower and other buildings. Nice scene with the people. I like the pale pink colour in many places.

what i'm most surprised about is the clarity of the sky, usually we see so much pollution and poor air quality in these cities in China. Perhaps it was just a really good day!
I don't think I've ever seen a shot from this exact pov before, so this is totally new for me, and I like it very much. The triangular building is very odd, and seems to stick out like a sore thumb, but its all part of the collection which is very photogenic. nice shot

great point of view and nice geometry indeed.
The Pearl Tower is so characteristic and recognizable, as a postcard lover I would include it wherever possible.
I see there are several couples there, I wonder if it is a spot for people to meet for dates or just a best romantic spot for a walk or both.

Essas linhas vermelhas e amarelas no chгo dгo, alйm de mais cores, uma boa profundidade а imagem, que leva a vista para os impressionantes prйdios ao fundo! Esse mais alto tem uma arquitetura bem interssante e parece uma pirвmide alongada! Belo trabalho!
