‘Koh Rong Sanloem - Anyone fancy a hammock over the water?’

As mentioned before, both Cambodians and Laotians are very fond of lying in a hammock.
That was also the case on the island.
However, when I passed here, no one was in a hammock …
Maybe they didn't want to get their feet wet?

Hi Paul

With frequent dips in the water perhaps, and even then with an old wet T shirt. I once fell asleep sunbaking and awake with a badly burned back and legs, which were painful for 2 weeks. Even snorkelling in the water I have gotten sun burned! Nice warm cold colour contrasts and saturation with good sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Paul,
The five hammocks actually look better without anyone lying in them, like some kind of monument dedicated to vacations and laziness. The colours and environment are beautiful. Everything seems better than the cold winds and forecasts of more rain and snow that we get these days in large parts of Europe.

Goedemiddag Paul,

Ik heb bij de zeemacht nog in een hangmat moeten slapen.
Eenmaal de truck dat loop alles van zelf, maar in het begin is dit een rare ervaring.
Heel goed geplaatst in de voorgrond met een met weerspiegeling in het beetje water met een voortreffelijk grondkleur.
Dit panorama is perfect gemaakt Paul.

Hello Paul,

A fine series of photographs showing this very relaxing way of life, set against an idyllic b/g.
I love the reflections on the water; it looks remarkably clean!

I had to smile at the thought of not getting into, but more getting out of these hammocks. I can imagine that novice users get various parts of their body very wet!
Still, it looks warm and things will soon dry!

Dat moet toch heerlijk rustgevend zijn om daar in zo'n hangmat boven het ondiepe water te hangen. Het uitzicht is natuurlijk ook prachtig. Goed gefotografeerd met heldere kleuren.

Hi Paul,
Quite original place for hammocks. I guess people use them although they are empty at the moment. That's not my kind of place though, I'd prefer to stay on a shade between trees. I really like the sandy bottom visible through shallow water.

Hello Paul, it does seem an unusual place to put a hammock, maybe it is cooler with the water beneath it, who knows?
Three lovely pictures suggesting an island idyll.
The water looks so clear, there are lovely patterns as the sunlight plays on the water, and the sea is such a beautiful colour.

Looking at this photo... all of a sudden I'm very fond of lying in a hammock too. And wouldn't mind to get my feet wet to get there. :-D
Lovely colours here too, true paradise.
I would find it really difficult to choose between this photo and the one with the white red-roofed house in WS.

Hi Paul,
as photogenic as they are, I never felt comfortable in a hammock, maybe because I have back problems. Here in addition to that there is water below so where would I put my camera? No safe place for that.
Either way it is a very photogenic spot and the hammocks certainly introduce a relaxing touch.

Well, getting your feet wet shouldn't matter in those clean and translucent waters, hammocks are a curiosity on a beach, but they should be comfortable and cooler, the perspective ideal.

a curious structure, people in northeastern brazil loves hammocks too, but I never saw something similar in their beaches. nice combination with the the mountain ahead.
