Photographer's Note

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, which begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013.
Except China, the Chinese New Year is also celebrated in many countries including, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore etc...

I took this picture in Phnom Penh, just before the beginning of a street performance, including Dragon dances and acrobatics.

espйrons que cette annйe 2012 soit aissi gaie et colorйe que ce dragon qui la reprйsente,mкme si comme son expression l'indique, elle ne sera pas dйnuйe de combats.La photo est agrйmentйe d'une belle lumiиre,qui rend les couleurs encore plus chaudes et vibrantes.

Une image trиs colorйe avec la tкte impressionnante du dragon, belle prйsence de la personne avec sa blouse rouge, espйrons que ce soit une bonne annйe!!!
moi je suis le coq dans l'horoscope chinois, je chante tout les matins, mais jamais a la mкme heure :-))

Effective tight framing on the dragon & the person with no part of the frame wasted. Vibrant warm colours & good sharpness. I was in Qianzhou on Hainan Island for Chinese New Year & it was raining. Didn't see any dragon dancers. Merci pour ce partage.

It is the year of the dragon. It is a wonderful shot of the celebration of the Chinese New Years. I guess there must be many Chinese living in Phnom Penh. Beautiful colors, you make the Chinese proud with this gold and red.
