Tonle Bati is a small lake, 30 km South of the capital, Phnom Penh... It is a popular spot for Cambodians during the week end... but we went there on a week day, and there was not a soul, only some old ladies that rent little palm leaf made huts on stilts above the water. Very basic, you can see the huts in the background.
She is wearing the Kroma, the traditional piece of cloth that has many uses... I am starting a Cambodian Kroma theme about it...

Tonle Bati est un petit lac 30 km au Sud de Phnom penh. C'est un lieu de villgiature pour les habitants de la capitale, particulirement le week-end. Nous y sommes all un jour ouvrable et il n'y avait pas me qui vive! Seules quelques loueuses de cabanes, sur pilotis surplombant le lac... Dire que le confort est minimal serait une litote!
Cette dame porte le Krama, pice de tissu aux usages multiples, rendu obligatoire par le regime Khmer Rouge de Pol Pot... Je commence un thme sur le Krama...
